Jan Neuharth | Paper Chase Farms, Inc.

neuharthJan Neuharth practiced law in Los Angeles before her love of horses drew her to the Virginia hunt country. In 1985, Neuharth and her husband, Joseph Keusch, former Joint Master of the Fairfax Hunt, started Paper Chase Farms, a full-service equestrian facility in Middleburg, VA. Neuharth was in charge of the business and marketing side of the equestrian center, and orchestrated an annual agenda of horse shows, clinics with world class equestrians, and corporate and charity events. Over the years, Neuharth and Keusch expanded Paper Chase Farms, Inc. to include equine consulting, the development and sales of horse products, and book publishing.

Neuharth and Keusch sold the equestrian center component of the business in 2000, and Neuharth turned her attention to writing. Her debut novel, The Hunt, was a Benjamin Franklin Award finalist and was nominated for a Library of Virginia Literary Award. The Chase won the IPPY Gold Medal for Best Regional Fiction and was a Notable Winner of the Eric Hoffer Award. The Kill, the third novel in her Hunt Country Suspense series, will be released on May 27th, 2010.
