Linda Pfeiffer is founder, president and CEO of INMED Partnerships for Children, a nonprofit development organization dedicated to rescuing children from immediate and irreversible harm and preparing them to shape a brighter future for themselves and the next generation.

Dr. Pfeiffer is a pioneer in the formation of collaborative public-private partnerships that leverage the unique skills and resources of corporations, government and community groups to sustain vital health, education and community development programs around the world. She created the “Millennium Conference” series, which brought together the private sector, government and nonprofits to work on multi-sector solutions to some of the most difficult challenges facing developing and emerging nations. Dr. Pfeiffer also played an instrumental role in the evolution of InterAction, the largest membership organization of U.S.-based development and relief organizations working internationally, especially in the development of their current board structure.

Dr. Pfeiffer has a Ph.D. in anthropology and archaeology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a post-graduate, she conducted archeological field work in Mexico and Central America. Living with—and learning from—the residents of impoverished villages sparked her interest in addressing international health, social and economic issues at the community level.

Following teaching positions at the University of California and consulting roles with the World Bank, Dr. Pfeiffer directed programs for a humanitarian relief agency before founding INMED Partnerships for Children (formerly International Medical Services for Health, otherwise known as INMED) in 1986, with a passion to secure children’s health, development and safety while developing skills, knowledge and opportunities for children and youth, and building family and community capacity to support and sustain positive change.
